I do blame a lot of trainers for not knowing what they are doing except for maybe pressuring you into showing. There were many times when either me or my horses were not ready and we went anyway. When you're at a show barn it seems you go with the flow instead of asking questions. I'm older and wiser now and I've learned to speak up for myself and my horses. Luckily, we don't show anymore and have our own place and training agenda with our herd. Good luck at future shows.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5679933674778515555.post-50232104913022122712011-06-03T12:50:40.153-07:002011-06-03T12:50:40.153-07:00Sadly, mistakes are often the best way to learn. I'm glad you came to your senses before either one of you got hurt. *hugs*Domhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00139769676714813261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5679933674778515555.post-11471129018875287842011-06-03T03:12:50.389-07:002011-06-03T03:12:50.389-07:00We've all done things like this in our youth -...We've all done things like this in our youth - I know I certainly did. Sometimes, although I rode and competed all the time, I think I really didn't know anything about horses or riding, and the concept that a horse with behavior problems wasn't just disobedient didn't enter my mind. Now I know better, and there were/are horses that are owed an apology from me. I also have learned that there are many trainers out there who know very little or who think they know and don't.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5679933674778515555.post-330012332782116222011-06-02T20:24:54.502-07:002011-06-02T20:24:54.502-07:00Beautiful Melissa, just beautiful.Beautiful Melissa, just beautiful.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16298839311973824789noreply@blogger.com
